In this raw and transformational episode, Laura sits down with Inner Power Activation Leader Sherise Bisram - the woman who turned childhood trauma into a thriving speaking empire and is now MC'ing Soul Speaks Live 2025.
Sherise's story will stop you in your tracks: Growing up with addiction in the home, facing daily racism, losing 11 family members between ages 12-17 (including both parents), and then scoring 8/10 on childhood trauma assessments. Instead of letting it break her, she became the ultimate cycle-breaker - and now teaches other women how to do the same.
After an 11-year dance career, the pandemic forced Sherise to confront her deepest wounds. What happened next? She intuitive-led herself through healing work that left therapists speechless and discovered her calling to activate the inner power of 1 billion women.

It gives me absolute pleasure. To introduce you to our next guest speaker on the podcast for soulful Women in business. Today we are gonna be speaking to my friend, ex-client, and absolute powerhouse that is Cherice Biram. Cher is a global speaker, a mentor, an emotional alchemist,
a guide for women. She is an inner power activation leader, and you literally only need to be in her energy to really feel her presence and the full embodiment of what she stands for. So I have had the absolute pleasure of working with Cherise. On a capacity of her being a client, and when I originally met ris, she was [00:01:00] already.
Doing such incredible things in this world. So when she actually approached me to mentor her, I was absolutely blown away and watching her evolve into the woman that she is now and shedding off old beliefs, even beliefs that she, I don't think she even knew her, has really. Been an honor of my career to date, and that is why I wanted to invite Cherise back onto the stage at Soul Speaks live in October.
Not only as a speaker, but as somebody that is going to empower women to make them laugh, cry, shake their booty, and everything in between. So welcome onto the podcast, Cherise. How are you, darling?
Sherrise: Oh, thank you for that lovely introduction and yeah, it's been a real delight, I think working with you and I think so much has [00:02:00] opened up for me as a, just a human, but also as a soul.
I feel like every time I allow myself to be held in a space by mentor, it definitely just allows you to flourish in ways that, yeah, I didn't know it was possible and I thought I was visible before, but. When we worked hard magic, something even more opened, which is obviously the beauty of soul speak and being held by a great mentor.
Yes, thank you.
Laura: Oh, thank you so much. And yeah, it's one of the thing, one of the pieces of feedback that you gave me, which always really stays with me as a mentor, one of the, reasons and the purpose behind everything that I do, and part of my mission is really helping women lean into their feminine and to run their businesses so that it doesn't feel like hus.
Soul culture and that it doesn't feel like you are, you have to prove yourself, one of the [00:03:00] things that I'm really passionate about is helping women to step into a place where their business feels as good as it looks. And when we had, at the end of our time together. It was one of the things that you mentioned, that it really was something that supported you to lean into your business with your divine feminine.
It didn't feel so heavy and yeah, that's that's something that always just stays with me and you can really just see it.
Sherrise: Yeah, absolutely. And I think it's so important as well for. I think women that we just think that the way to success is to do it the way men are doing it. And that's the way I was taught to do everything in my life.
I was a performer for 11 years, so that hustle culture that always proving yourself, being seen, being on was such a big part of my coding. And I think when we worked together. Spiritually, we were stripping back layers internally that I thought that [00:04:00] I'd healed, that were just coming up to the surface again, and I, just remember that one session.
I was just crying the whole time we were going through this meditation. I was like, just releasing it out. But this is the thing I think I want women to understand is that. I know that sometimes you were taught that you had to hold it all on your own, but the real key to it is knowing that you don't, and that for me has been such a revelation in everything that I do now because it's something I glide guide my own clients through.
In allowing yourself to be held is the greatest gift you can give to yourself as a woman. I think that we think, like I said, success is I can do it my own. I'm a strong independent woman, and I think being a millennial taught us that as well. All the women independent, put your hands up and it's yeah, that's lovely, but also we wanna go back to a space where we can be held, whether that's by another woman, by multiple women, by your partner.
It's just giving yourself the permission to say I, haven't gotta do this all by myself. There's nothing to prove. Like we said, it's just about softening and I [00:05:00] think. We definitely shifted a massive block that I was holding onto for dear life, and I've continued to practice the work that we've uncovered and obviously developed that in my own way as well.
So for anyone that listens, I feel the feminine energy piece is so important. And also you taught me about working with my cycle, which has been a game changer as well, because yeah, I just feel like that week before my period, the week that I'm on, I'm a bit psychopathic and I have to just, oh, that is how it goes.
But then also sometimes I surprise myself. I've got loads of energy. I'm like, okay, this is new, but I think for me, allowing myself to combine the work with the cycles, the feminine energy, and then my connection with astrology, that has been like a really beautiful sinking of everything that makes so much sense to me now, energetically, spiritually, physically, and all the things.
So yes, softening into our feminine is the secret to success. I.
Laura: Yeah, and I, I think, I think it's really important for listeners [00:06:00] to know, so I see a lot of women's go, oh, soft girl era and roll their eyes and it, I think it's really important to know that even though I am definitely in my softness most of the time still working on it, I.
It definitely doesn't mean that I don't work hard. I still work hard, but I don't do it from a place where I feel that I need to prove myself. I'm not doing it from a place where it feels as though, so one of the things that I say to myself. Regularly on a daily basis, am I pouring love into this piece of work or is it coming from a place of, if I don't do this, then. X, Y, Z is gonna happen. I'm gonna lose everything. I'm not gonna be visible. I'm not good enough because if it's coming from that place, I need to then go away and work on my nervous system, work on my belief [00:07:00] set.
So there is actually coming from place of love and that is when. To me, that is when you are really coming from that softness and when you can really come work with your cycle and start to look at, okay, so I know that this is everybody's different. Everybody's unique. No one person is going to have the same cycle as another.
And everybody reacts differently to their cycle. So it is really unique to you. And if you do want some more information about that, please do send me a private message and I can send you a free guide to support you on actually finding about you and your cycle. But it's really about, so for me, I'm very similar to you.
I know that the five days leading up to my cycle, I. Will be spicy af. If you want the truth from me, come and ask me. In those F four days, I will not mince my words. And [00:08:00] it doesn't mean it. It doesn't mean that I don't love you. It will just be very honest to the point that it may upset you. And I know that in that time that if I wanna bring the spice into my content to go and record some at that point and.
Sometimes that isn't the, best. It doesn't, people don't always wanna hear the truth to that degree. Yeah, sometimes I think to myself in that time, if somebody's asking me a question and I'm like, oh, the spice is gonna come up, I'm like, I'm gonna wait. I'm gonna write this down, and I might come back and see if I really wanna tell them this next week.
Because maybe this is gonna be a bit harsh I've just, I just know myself now. I know myself inside and out. Does that mean that I always follow everything that I teach? No, I still get it wrong. [00:09:00] I still, do things that probably shouldn't do that when I know that I'm on my bleed, things like that.
But at least I'm educated now and to know why it feels really hard on those days if I haven't scheduled out time for myself. It's really important just to know yourself, know your cycle, and start showing up in the world from a place from. Love rather than fear. So that's what really the Soul Speaks community is for the Soul Speaks Live event was born from a time where my business was, it just wasn't the same anymore.
20 20, 20 21. You could throw out a piece of content and you would get sales, so it was much easier. But because of the pandemic and because a lot of people were coming from false confidence and [00:10:00] not a lot of, context and skill to go behind that. There are a lot of cowboys in the online space, coaches that say that they could deliver results you got inside and it is a load of crap.
In 2023, we started to see the backlash of that. As people that were really good at what they did, were now having a lot of discernment thrown their way around having to show and showcase testimonials and things like that. I, now, I know that we are 20, 25, I know what works again, but in 2023, there was a time in my business where.
I had gone from earning like five to 10 K months to zero, and I was like in this like dark night of the sale oh my God, am I gonna need to give this up? What am I gonna do? And it, what I actually did, I was. I fully surrendered into it and thought, okay, what am I gonna do with this space that [00:11:00] I now have?
I didn't have any clients and I didn't have any income for a while, and there was a time when I thought, shall I just give up? And thank God that I just took that time and thought I've got some space. I'm gonna lean back and I'm gonna listen. And I was actually meditating. I had met up with some friends and I was doing some like real low ticket stuff, still, like little ticket stuff that was like still fueling my business like slightly.
And I had done, I think I'd been to a women's, I've been to something where I can't remember exactly, but I was meditating and I was like, you need to bring people together. I thrive off of people and being around people and bringing women together and women like really nurturing each other.
I had this [00:12:00] vision, it was like the Rebecca Campbell card, and it was the great gathering and I was , I wanna create an event where incredible powerhouse women come together, leaders come together, and they come and they pour into their own cup whilst learning about business.
I put a. Facebook post on my Facebook saying, looking for speakers for an event. And I had hundreds and hundreds of women writing that they wanted to speak at this event. And that is really where Last Year's Soul Speaks was created, from. And the vast event was last year in Brighton.
It was originally going to be at the I 360, but they went into liquidation. So we moved it to a hotel and we had, originally we had the headline speaker, Stacy Dooley. And that was changed at the [00:13:00] last minute. And we had Kirsty Gallagher who was absolutely incredible, and Cherise was one of our speakers last year.
So the concept last year was really around, day one was about business strategy, and day two was about coming home to yourself. So with hindsight, as with anything. I now realize that it would've been better to coming home to yourself first and then building on that business strategy afterwards. So this year we are in London.
We have the incredible headline speaker who is. Tanya Bardsley. So she started off her career as made in Cheshire on ITV, and she was a model. She's married to a footballer and she wasn't conscious at all back then, and now she is. She's recently been diagnosed with A DHD at [00:14:00] 40 years old, something that is a process that I've been going through, and she's really come into her own with a conscious way of living and actually looking after herself and her.
And her nervous system. And Cherise, I have asked her because she's such an incredible speaker. It's where she literally is in her element. It is so easy and natural to her. I was like, this was a client and it's really about building that movement. Each year on year showcasing the evolution of these powerful women when you come into the room together and you learn and heal and grow.
So I would love to ask you . What was Soul speak life like for you last year? Obviously we had some technical issues last year, which is really frustrating. I'm really pleased to tell you that this year we have an AV team.
Sherrise: Great. That was great. This, no, to be fair, when we, [00:15:00] technical issues are inevitable, right?
Whenever you do anything digital even on online things, we get it wrong. We get it mixed up. There's Mercury, retrograde, all the things. But I think for me, the real essence of Soul Speaks was that community piece that you spoke about. I think that in itself was just so powerful. Like the sisterhood.
Energy in the room was so beautiful and there was no room for a wound in that space like it was. So everyone came in open-hearted and I think that for me, especially now, obviously MCing on the day, that is like my absolute like fundamental thing is to make sure that every single woman has their heart open to receive and it's anchored into their body to really.
Not only absorb that information, but to completely digest it so it becomes a part of themselves. We speak about nervous system work and all of the things. It's it's all well and good. You hearing all this amazing, inspiring stuff, but then walking away and not doing anything with it is the thing that we always fear.
But I know from the work that I do that it's then [00:16:00] inevitable that you will absorb it because. Part of my work is movement. And I think that in order to keep an audience engaged, it's about adding those elements in throughout the day that are just gonna keep them. Yeah, digesting, ticking over, re receiving in all forms of way.
And this is what makes self speak so different because it isn't just jargon thrown at you, it isn't just education. It's like mind, body, and soul all connected as one. And I think that's a powerful thing because you've got such incredible speakers that are. Deeply spiritual and open and connected to the universe in ways that are so amazing.
But then you've also got these really logical, tangible ways to make sales in your business without falter. And I think that's the beauty of feminine business, right? I think that's exactly what Soul Speaks is. It's speaking from a soul, leading from the soul, and. Doing business from your soul too.
And I think that's what's so important. I met some really great women last year [00:17:00] speakers, but also audience members that I've still got as part of my yeah. Audience on, social media and stuff like that. And we all, we're all engaging with each other still. So there's definitely the fundamental piece of this is sisterhood.
And I think that is so radically important in this day and age, like you said, with the way that. The industry is now, there's so much room for, like you said, cowboys, which I wouldn't have used before, but now I'm like, ah, makes so much sense to call people like that. Cowboys, yes, but I think for me, because I'm so embodied in what I do.
I can see through the gaps always and obviously when you are able to channel and you connect to all that energy, we know we can see it. And I think that's why I know my energy always lands with people because people straight away can feel that this is just who I am. Straight up. You get what you're given.
And yeah, I'm full of fire. Leo, sun Leo, rise in and I take you with me. And I think that's a really part, important part of what I get to give. As my gifts, but to be able to be [00:18:00] in these rooms and spaces, even just as an audience member is so valuable. Like obviously day one I wasn't talking, so I got to just absorb the energy and be in the room with these powerhouse women.
So the conversations that you have at lunch or when you're getting yourself of tea, like there was just constant room for, absorption. Just it is such, such a beautiful space. I really, enjoyed myself last year and yeah, there's things that I took away from it that I still remember to this day.
So really, important. I think if you can be in the room and if you own a business, I think it's a a no brainer. You've gotta be there.
Laura: And I would love for you to just share your journey on becoming the woman and the leader that you are today. I know you've been on the pod before, but.
Obviously people that are new that are coming in and they haven't heard your story are such a powerful story and this is really what Soul Speaks is about you owning your story and [00:19:00] alchemizing it, and you're such a great example of that.
Sherrise: Yeah. Thank you. Yeah, it's so funny. I think when people see me they're always like, oh, you're so confident, you're so shiny.
And I'm like I had to build it. I've had to make really hard choices in my life. So if I go back to my childhood, I had a. One parent that was an addict, and then the other parent was like working really hard to compensate for the other parent. And so really young in my life, I just remember no one really parenting because everyone was just trying to survive, and I just grew up in a volatile home.
As a result of that, everyone was shouting and all the. Be heard. And I just remember one day just having a conversation with myself must about six years old saying, I'll never let anyone treat me like this. And so that was probably the first layer of armor I ever put on. I just stepped into the role, oldest daughter stepped into the role of being their parent and taking everyone's feelings and emotions into consideration before my own.
And so along this journey as well, I grew up in an area that wasn't culturally diverse. I'm a woman of color [00:20:00] 'cause obviously you might not see me if you're listening.
I face racism every single day. Walking home from school, I'd had people wind down their window and shout stuff and I'd made, again, a decision.
I'm like, do I wanna accept that I'm always gonna be different and that this is just the way it is? Or do I wanna own my voice and my power? Just a little bit enough to say I don't want it to carry on any further than this. So even at 7, 8, 9, 10 years old, I was shouting back to these people, shouting at me because I was like, do you know what?
It's not okay to be racist. It's not okay to say what you wanna say. Just because you don't understand, so even from a really young age, I knew the power of using my voice. And it's funny now because I teach conflict navigation and it's a real big part of some of the work that I do with girls.
And helping them to understand that it's important to raise your voice. And I always come down to this thing that I don't feel like I had a choice to be confrontational because it was either that it is not even an evil, or it's that's survival, right? It's like you say nothing and then [00:21:00] you let things, happen to you and it gets worse and worse.
Or you say something and you change the course and that's exactly what I've done. I'm 1000% a cycle breaker in my family, in my life, in my generations. I know that for a fact and it's because I look. At adversity in the eye. I say, not with me. And even down to when I got to my teenage years, between the ages of 12 to 17, I had 11 members of my family pass away, back to back, one of which was my parents.
So in all of the funerals that I went to, again, I'm just wearing more armor. I'm like putting on another layer. Be strong for your family, be strong for your family. That's all I was hearing. So I was like, oh, okay. I literally, so then I just piled up this armor on me. And in my life, looking back now, I had moments of real deep depression where I just didn't wanna be here anymore.
And I didn't realize it was because it was the weight of the responsibility that I had put on myself to be there for everyone, and no one was there for me because I wasn't allowing myself to be held. So I became an overachiever. I pushed myself to the limits. I worked really hard. I [00:22:00] channeled everything I had into being a dancer.
And even the dance industry was hard. I fought my way through that with blood, sweat, and tears, and I just remember knocking down walls all of the time because no doors were opening for me. And not now I look back, I think, oh, I could have just softened a little bit and just hoped that it, the doors would open.
And I trust that they would, because in everything that I do, and this is gonna sound very ego, but it's not when you embody what you do, I've always been really amazing at the things I do because I give a thousand percent to it. There's no part of me that says, oh, I'm gonna do this thing now and just go for it.
Like I put so much time and energy into everything that I do because I love it. And passion is such a. Forward thing for me, and everything in my life is everything that I am. And so even as a dancer, I'd be one of the best dancers in the room and not get picked because of my skin tone, so I've really fought my way, proved my way to show people that I'm not a broken little brown girl.
I'm a strong lioness like I've. Fought my way through all of that until I reached [00:23:00] a pandemic. And in between this, by the way, there was moments of lightness where I realized that I was pushing too hard and I started to look at journaling, or I started to connect with meditation. So there's little glimmers of where I start to realize, oh, this is a bit much I maybe went to a medium and had some of my family come through and forward and tell me like, oh it's gonna work out.
But I've always known it's gonna be hard before it's easy. Even in my human desire, I'm a five one, I've gotta learn it. First and then teach it. But leadership has always been part of my character. I've never had another way. So when the pandemic hit and I couldn't move to America and continue my dance career, I was like, okay, who am I?
What? What am I? Why am I like this? And just really hit the wall of life and crumbled into a million pieces, and I had nothing left to give. And I realized at that time that I had. Childhood trauma. And that was because as a dancer that has nothing else to do. What do you do? I thought, I'm gonna go back into education.
So 10 years later I went back and did my master's degree [00:24:00] again, another obstacle because it's like how'd you, do everything again? But in the data I was looking at specialized in female empowerment, and I was looking at how dance actors as an intervention for children in foster care. And as the information was coming forward, I was like I went to foster care for that.
Or, oh, that's strange. I went through that. That wasn't a big deal. And then ACEs kept coming up over and over again at first childhood experiences. And so I thought, I'm gonna take the test. And then when I did do the test, I got eight out of 10. Now, that's not something you wanna score highly for, but it did give me clarity because then from there I was like, oh.
This is why I am the way I am, and as a byproduct of knowing that I was then able to dive into my childhood experiences and rewrite it. Now when I tell people that I did this myself with a journal and just trust in my own intuition, people are mind blown because the amount of knowledge that I know in this space now, I've, I continued to grow and do read all the books and listen to all the things and speak with all the experts and all of the things [00:25:00] now, but at the time.
I intuitive, intuitively led myself through that, and some of my friends are therapists are overwhelmed with the fact that I was able to do that on my own. And that's how I know that my soul came here to do this. I had to go through what I did in order to be the version of myself I am now. And that's why I am so amazing at doing this for my clients because I can get through it.
See through it and feel through it. Especially now allowing myself to call myself an intuitive healer as well as a leader, that gives me so much clarity and ownership of my own power. And again we're talking about our soul speaking. It's like you're giving yourself the permission to be all of yourself.
And that's definitely what I am. I speak my story with such conviction and passion because. I'm grateful for all of the hard things because it shaped me into the version I am now. And I know that someone listening will have gone through one little tiny glimmer of similar to mine, and they'll be like, wow.
Yeah, no, that gives me the permission to be myself. And that's why [00:26:00] my podcast called Permission to Shine because that's the first thing that I thought of. I was like, you know what, sometimes you've just gotta give yourself the push to shine. I was like, oh. There it is. You know that's the thing that I'm doing.
And I think for me even before as a dancer, but as a double Leo, like I said, that everything is about shining your light, and that's everything that I've given myself the permission to do over and over again. Even in this journey coming out when I'm in 2025. And through these last five years, there's been death and rebirth moments over and over again because I'm dedicated to this healing journey.
And I always say, especially in my family there's so much healing that needs to be done there. But the ones that have seen me grow and evolve they say to me, gosh you've come out of this. You've overcome so much in your life. But it's because I lead this journey so I know that I can't just put it to the side and be like, oh, forget about that.
Or I won't do the work. I'll come back to it and I need it. But I don't have that permission slip. I have to go through it in order to lead the pathway. My life journey has been. Like being [00:27:00] locked in a prison cell and having a spoon and digging a pathway that didn't exist.
So when I hit a wall where it feels like I can't go through anymore, I have to find another way to do it because the path, it hasn't been laid for me. I've had to create it. But I know when I look back, there's so many people behind me and that feels overwhelming and beautiful at the same time because it's like, this is the reason why, like even the other day I did
an event for one of the charities I work with called Our Dance and that was for girls. And I was just so overwhelmed coming out of that and just having all the girls come up to me and talk to me about their journey and up being in the scene and the feedback we've got, and I know that's because I've given myself to.
The permission to be able to shine my light and now it's igniting the lights of others. That for me is the whole reason why, and I'm so grateful and proud of myself and this journey and grateful that I get to do this work. It's just, yeah, so beautiful. Venus has moved into cancer. That's what I thought, even more emotional today, but I love when my, I allow myself to be emotional because I've guarded my [00:28:00] heart so much my whole life, now that I'm able to like just accept it and be in it, that for me is like the most divine feminine thing I can ever be, and I'm really proud of that.
Laura: You've got me going as well. You've got me going. I'm like tearing up here because what I hear is, your truth and, Yeah. I that's why we connect so deeply is because.
I, I've never felt like I fit in a box. I've never been like so spiritual. Woo. Bare feet. I do that stuff but I still like to dress. In designer clothes and I still like material things. And actually, recent, actually recently I turned up at, there was a Spring Equinox event and I turned up in I just didn't look like anybody else and I literally, everyone just stared at me the whole day.
I didn't talk to me, which was really annoying because obviously it was supposed to be a event where it was [00:29:00] inclusive and I wasn't made to feel welcome at all at that event. And then I've got your stereotypical like powerhouse woman who isn't really interested in that spiritual life lifestyle.
I'm like bang in the middle of that. But I know now that the reason that I don't fit in to either of those boxes because I'm not supposed to. I'm not supposed to. I'm the bridge for women too. Be either or, and I still get both of them and don't judge either. So with that to going back to that Spring Equinox event, it was really upsetting for me to feel like I was being judged because I.
I wasn't judging them I just, I really hear you because I've never really felt I've always felt as you described it I've had that, spoon and I've been digging a hole for people to understand both sides [00:30:00] and for them to find a way that fits them, to find a way through to have the, this.
Holistic spiritual lifestyle. Whatever that means to you, whether you are just really starting to get interested in the law of attraction and you've started to explore that, like mindfulness or whether you are somebody that's so heavily into strategy A lot of my clients, my high, caliber clients is they're they're so in the work that they've forgotten about themselves and they're, now leaning into finding techniques and strategies to feel embodied so that their business looks as good as it feels, or whether you are somebody that is completely barefoot in the sand. And you really want, you know that your business needs a strategy.
You've been doing everything for free, and now you're ready to level [00:31:00] up your game in business, then all of it is welcome. And that was the beautiful thing about last year's event is we had a real mixture of women in the room, but the, thread. That, that you said that sisterhood was that meaning behind it.
It was that purpose that every single person in that room, no matter what their background is, no matter where they are on their spiritual. Path or purpose is that they belong in that room because they are here to fuel something. They want to leave a lasting legacy. And when you have that heart mission and you have that sole blueprint that you were literally born to go through, all of the things, whatever it is in your life.
To lead. That's why, and I know that some of the things that I've been through in my life, [00:32:00] even though they're, they haven't been the greatest. It was to make me into this woman that has such a big heart and to not judge others and to. And to really see people not as their race, not as their age, not as their what they've, what's gone on in the past.
Just to see them as a soul. And that is one of my biggest gifts is to see through the BS that you tell yourself. And actually, I have a gift to see people in their highest timeline. And it was so funny when I met you. Of course your branding is all orange and your. You are just on brand. But when I, we had a conversation.
I think you've been to something that I did, something around the a Kasic records and we was having a conversation and [00:33:00] I actually had a dream that night and you were wearing a orange blazer and you were on the stage at so speak, and I think I messaged you to say, so yeah, I see people. In their highest timeline.
When somebody comes to me and I'm coaching them and they're telling me about what they design in the future, I actually can see it. Yeah that's one of my gifts. So I see you are going to be an mc at the event, and you are gonna be keeping everybody awake, motivated, laughing, crying, all of the things in between.
What can people ex expect this year? So speaks live from your percept.
Sherrise: I think it is gonna be a whole, I don't think it's gonna be a snippet. Like when you go to an event and you go there, it's really inspiring. You go home. It's not gonna be that at all. This is definitely a shift in people's timelines.
And I say that [00:34:00] from the last one. I know going to the last one, something shifted in my timeline as a result of being there. And it's almost like Soul Speaks creates a portal of energy because it's like. All of these inspiring people are in one space together, and it is the co-creation of something bigger than us.
And I think if you are someone that is dedicated to doing meaningful work and you know that you are here for a bigger impact, you have to be there because I think. We can all do and go to these surface level places and do all the, like we said, brunch and blazers wearing a blazer and just talking high level client stuff.
But actually this is the combination of the two. And I think that's what makes it so powerful. So I think that this really is the combination of the strategy and the soul together, which is fundamental right, but especially the fact that I believe the last one was no [00:35:00] ego we just really, everyone, we just met each other where they're at.
That's so important to me, and I think that's something that I'll be leading a hundred percent, because I don't for one minute feel like just because I'm speaking that I'm better than anyone or anything like that, so for me, holding that space to say to everyone like. This is your opportunity and I'll definitely be taking the mic around and asking people lots of questions and like engaging with everyone.
So this is gonna feel like a workshop, a concert a day event is gonna be like a brunch. It's gonna feel like just all the beautiful things about life that we enjoy in one space. Sister circle everything. I definitely believe that this is gonna be a life changing event for so many women, and especially if you're new in business and you're afraid, this is your opportunity to get into the room with some incredibly powerhouse women, and you are gonna absorb information that might have taken you years to learn.
So it is literally just like an incubator of. [00:36:00] Potency and energy all in one space. And I think, yeah, you've gotta be there. It last year was amazing. This year will be, I'm sure even better.
Laura: Yeah, it's gonna be in a castle this year, so it is gonna be amazing. I met somebody the other day and I was telling her about the event and she was like, oh, I just would feel , intimidated by being in a room with that many.
And powerful women. And if you are somebody that's listening to this podcast and you are thinking that, I just really want you to know that there, I have never in my entire career met a woman that is doing better than me, that isn't cheering me on and wanting me to win. And that has taken me under their wing and given me the inspiration to fly because.
It is only women that are not doing as well as you, and they're looking at you from the view of maybe envy [00:37:00] or. Or jealousy that they don't wanna see you win,
Sherrise: projecting their, it's
Laura: always the women that are doing that are doing the things that you inspire to, do. And also the flip side of that, if you're watching people, if you are watching me or Cherise and thinking, oh it's all right for you.
Let that be your sign from the universe that it is possible for you. Because although yes, we do all have the same 24 hours in a day, we all have different backgrounds and we all have different privileges. We all have different we've all had something going on in the past, but the difference between me and she is that we have made that our reason to succeed and to thrive.
Sherrise: Absolutely that. And also I think that if you are feeling intimidated by it, remember everyone started somewhere. So you know, all of these women in the room that are earning [00:38:00] seven figures and all of the things, they also started at zero. Some people didn't, which is amazing. Good for them, but a lot of people did, you know?
And I think it's just, um. When you can put, you know, there's like a saying, isn't there? When you put pen to paper and you write your dream down, it becomes a goal. And then you keep working at that goal, it becomes your reality. And we only have to do 1% of something different every single day in order to grow.
And the trajectory of our life evolves. So let this be the moment that you say to yourself, you know what, it feels like a little bit of a stretch, but nothing grows in your comfort zone. So allow yourself to, to stretch your full capacity. And I'll tell you what. 2025 has stretched me out to the maximum, but I believe with every fiber in my being that I'm meant for incredibly great things.
I'll be honest with you now, if I look at my life where it was when I was younger to the me I am now. It is worlds apart, and my life gotta look very different to what it does now. I'm already living a dream that my younger self probably had. So allow yourself to step out of it and you'll keep growing and evolving as a result of that choice.[00:39:00]
But you get to make that choice and it's your empowered decision that shapes your life. No one else's.
Laura: Yeah, and I, honestly, it's only through me attending events that I know Cherise and any of the speakers that are speaking at the events. It is through me getting out of my comfort zone. Even when I was at Baby Beginner, I used to get into the big, the, into the rooms with the big fish, and I was definitely the smallest fish in that tank and I.
And it's through having those conversations and asking the questions that you start to show up in those rooms and before you know it, you are the one giving any advice. Yeah. Like I am now, so it really is just stepping out of your comfort zone and the, ticket prices are really reasonable over two days.
You've got food provided everything that you need provided under one one roof, and it's in South [00:40:00] London in Crystal Palace, so nice and central. We've got women coming from ibi, we've got women coming from Portugal, we've got Ireland. We've got. Wales, there's no excuse, ladies. So if you are thinking about it, stop thinking about it and go and get your ticket.
Now to come and see myself and Cherise at this event in London on the. On the 16th and the 17th of October last year. It was a beautiful, sunny day. So let's all pray for that and I cannot wait to see you all there. And of course, see Charice in action, owning the stage, rocking the stage, and giving all of you permission to shine.
